Answers

Why is there water dripping inside the air conditioner?Back to Top

This is because water is not drained out from the drainage pipe or water is being trapped in the pipe, which is usually blocked by dust and dirt accumulated over time.

Why does my air conditioner leak all the time? Back to Top

This may be due to improper installation resulting improper gradient for the run between the air conditioner and the drain.

Why is the air conditioner cooling but the room is not cold? Back to Top

Not enough Btus to cover the whole area of the room Air filters, coils or motors are dirty Parts may be faulty Object blocking the air inlet/outlet of the indoor/outdoor units Windows and doors are opened Temperate set is too warm Selector switch is in the FAN instead of COOL position Airflow direction is not appropriately set

Why is there noise when my air conditioner is operating? Back to Top

Air sound is normal. If too loud, turn selector switch to lower fan setting. The blower of the air conditioner is dirty.

Why the air from the air conditioner gives a foul smell? Back to Top

The smell of the room, furniture or cigarettes is being absorbed into the unit and discharged together with the airflow when the air conditioner is switched on.

Why is the air conditioner still cooling but the condenser outside has stopped operating? Back to Top

When the room temperature has reached its set temperature by the remote controller, the condenser will stop operating. It will assume operation once the temperature rises.

Why does water drip from the condenser? Back to Top

Water dripping from condenser is normal for water due condensation of the warm air around the piping connection.

Why must I install the drain tray? Back to Top

Drain tray is installed to channel the water from condensation to the nearest toilet or floor trap via PVC piping.

Can I do my own chemical flushing Back to Top

As chemical flushing requires dismantling of the fan coil or condenser, hiring a trained technician is preferred. Also, it is better to dismantle the fan coil than inserting water tray to wash away the chemical as the latter may lead to corrosion of the fan coil if the chemical inside the fan coil is not wash away thoroughly.

What will happen if I do not service my air-conditioner regularly Back to Top

If you allow filters and coils to become dirty, the air conditioner is likely to fail prematurely. Other benefits of regular servicing includes better indoor air quality and more energy efficient.

How often should I service my air conditioner Back to Top

It depends on the usage of the air conditioner. If your air conditioner is switched on for more than 20 hours daily, a bi-monthly servicing is recommended. Otherwise, servicing once every 3 months should suffice to ensure that the air conditioner is running is good condition.

Can I perform general cleaning by myself Back to Top

You can clean the fan coil and filters yourself as they are easily removed. However, to vacuum and flush the drainage system and to check and top up refrigerant gas requires specialized equipment. Our scope of work for general cleaning includes amongst others, lubricating of motor parts, checking of electrical circuits and leakages.

My technican told me that my refrigerant leaks. What will he do? Back to Top

If your air conditioner leaks, simply adding refrigerant is not a solution. A trained technician should fix the leak, test the repair and then charge the system with the correct amount of refrigerant. Remember the performance and efficiency of your air conditioner is greatest when the refrigerant charge exactly matches the manufacturer's specification and is neither undercharged nor overcharged.
